New tower at Pixel, the first phase of Imkan's Reem Island project, will be available for purchase on Saturday

A new tower at Pixel, the first phase of Imkan's $540 million mixed-use project, Makers District, on Reem Island, will be available for purchase this weekend.

The sales launch will take place on March 16 and 17 at Imkan's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The project is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2021.

Walid El-Hindi, CEO of Imkan, said: "Research is infused at every stage of our place-making process, and through the development of Makers District our research has shown that communities thrive where creativity can be expressed, nurtured and cultivated. Pixel has been designed with this very notion at the forefront.

"Pixel is a key milestone in our journey to establish Makers District as an enriched and pulsating development in the capital."

Pixel has been designed by Dutch architects MVRDV whose previous work includes the Markthal in Rotterdam, Tianjin Binhai Library in China, The Stack in Melbourne, and RED7 in Moscow.

Pixel’s seven towers, incorporating residential apartments, co-working office space, F&B and retail, will form a key part of a new neighbourhood and a unique urban living destination being built in the UAE capital.

With a built-up area of approximately 83,000 sq m, Pixel will offer 480 residential units within 7 mixed-use residential towers that frame a pedestrianised plaza, home to over 3,500 sq m of F&B, retail and offices, as well as a signature water feature.

The Pixel community will be located just steps away from The-Artery, Imkan's hybrid parking garage and event space.

Makers District on Reem Island aims to attract artists, entrepreneurs, curators, artisans, and SMEs.
